OUR HANDS IN THE WORK
It starts with
straight metal.
The curves of an NF frame begin in our own shop.
We bend and fabricate the frame ourselves, then bring the scooter together by hand. We also design our batteries. Our own fabrication and design sit alongside purchased components in the finished machine.
That’s what hand-built means at NF: a small company involved in the work, from shaping the frame to assembling the scooter.

2016
Built to be outside.
The first builds were big-wheeled stand-up scooters pointed at mountain roads. A scooter should take you further into the world, not just across a parking lot.
2016 · Two early builds 2017
The riders showed up.
Rides on the Boise Greenbelt and around Boise State, the Winter Carnival up in McCall, and the first stack of scooters leaving Idaho for other states.

A more refined machine.
Cleaner lines and better proportion. The same bones, a low deck, big wheels and a stand-up riding position, with better execution.
