Ten Years of NF Scooters: From Mountain Rides to the 2026 Model

NF Scooters has been building stand-up electric scooters for about a decade now, and the shop photo album tells the story better than we can. Here is that album, more or less, in order.
2016: Scooters that wanted to be outside
The first builds were exactly what the early photos show: big-wheeled stand-up scooters pointed at mountain roads. The philosophy was there from day one — a scooter should take you further into the world, not just across a parking lot.
2017: The riders showed up
This is the year the album fills with people:
- Riders cruising the Boise Greenbelt, the riverside path that became an unofficial proving ground.
- Game-day rides around Boise State, where a scooter beats a parking hunt every time.
- The Winter Carnival up in McCall, because Idaho winters are for riding too, apparently.
- A stack of shipping boxes — the year scooters started leaving Idaho for other states.
2018 and the years of refining
The 2018 photos show a more polished machine: cleaner lines, better proportion, the design language that pointed toward everything after it. Each generation kept the same bones — low deck, big wheels, stand-up riding position — and improved the execution.
2026: The newest generation
The 2026 model is the most refined scooter we have built: controller integrated up front, batteries under the deck, paint on the frame only. We wrote about the design decisions here, and you can configure your own at your leisure.
What has not changed
Ten years, five generations of learning, and one unchanged reason we build them: more adventure, fewer limits. Thanks for riding with us — the next ten are going to be fun.
